Dr. Mario World

Earlier this week, Nintendo released its fifth mobile game, Dr. Mario World. The game modernizes the classic formula of the action puzzle with a touch of a single touch screen and an online multiplayer mode. So how was it received by the general public?

According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data, there have been more than two million installations during the first 72 hours. On the other hand, Crossing animals: pocket camp had 6 million downloads during the same period, Hero of the fire emblem had 4.9 million downloads and Super Mario Run had just over 4 million downloads. Mario, however, recorded seven times more installations than the brand new IP, Dragalia lost. Saying this, the title developed by Cygames had a rather limited launch.

In terms of integrated transactions, players have already spent about $ 100,000 in Dr. Mario World since its launch. This makes it the least profitable mobile gaming version of Nintendo to date. In contrast, Fire Emblem has raised $ 11.6 million over the same period, and even Dragalia Lost has raised $ 150,000 more. Nevertheless, Dr. Mario World was very successful in considering the series on which it is based and the little marketing it received before its release.

Were you among the people who downloaded Dr. Mario World in the first 72 hours? Have you ever made integrated purchases? Leave a comment below.
