A new action RPG has been announced by Gamera Game. This ARPG is a medieval game set in a fantasy world inspired by Dragon’s Dogma. The name of the newly announced RPG is Arise of Awakener and will release in 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Arise of Awakener was announced during this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
From the game description:
Arise of Awakener is a single player, open-card action role-playing game set in a fantasy world based on medieval Europe. In this world, players will ride dragons, command airships, and engage in engaging battles against a collection of fantastic creatures as they take on the role of adventurer and embark on the path of vengeance and redemption.
The game allows players to choose from three playable characters: Warrior, Archer, and Mage. Players will then be faced with quick hack and slash battles against all kinds of enemies. Additionally, players will be able to order and ride dragons. The sequences shown above are early development sequences and are subject to change once the full set is released.
Players will also be able to command airships while battling fantastic creatures. The main objective of the adventurer who embarks on this quest through thick and thin is to become “the Awakened”. What does the Awakened do or why is it such a coveted rank? Details regarding this and the overall story of the game will be announced in the future.
Players will find towns to explore, chests to loot, resources to collect, and more. The Dragon’s Dogma-inspired action RPG is slated for release sometime in 2023. No word on the existence of an Xbox or Nintendo Switch version of the game has yet been said. However, we will report on this appropriately once the news emerges.
