How good can a sandwich be?

Popeyes released a new chicken sandwich a few weeks ago – based on fried chicken breast and with pickles, optional spicy mayo – and the sandwich has since elicited long queues, a lawsuit and now , a firearm fired at Popeyes employees.

On September 3rd, a group of six people – two women, three men and a baby – went to one of the chain's workshops to cross into Houston, Texas, and tried to control the coveted sandwiches … but the chain was out. .

The group apparently did not believe him.

The group reportedly laid charges at the restaurant's door, one of the men holding a gun, but a thoughtful restaurant worker locked them out, KTRK reported in Houston.

The baby would have been left inside the group's vehicle during the chicken-inspired showdown.

"Someone might have lost his life because he was missing chicken sandwiches," said Fredrick Taylor, a local resident, at KTRK.

The group finally left and no one was hurt. Investigators are now looking for the culprits.

In Tennessee, a man from Chattanooga actually sued Popeyes after missing the sandwich.

"I can not be happy, I have this sandwich in mind, I can not think properly," said Craig Barr at the Chattanooga Times Free Press. "It consumes you."

His lawsuit alleges that the company hurt him with misleading advertising and deceptive marketing practices. He also blames Popeyes for making him lose "countless hours of driving" in search of the sandwich.

Wanda Lavender, a 38-year-old director of Popeyes in Milwaukee, told Vox that her legs had become numb after 10 to 12 hours in front of the long lines inspired by the sandwich. She said that a client had threatened to shoot her staff to break the craze for food.

The sandwich was launched on August 12 and is expected to remain in September.

However, it is sold.

"You all. We like you to like Sandwich. Unfortunately, we are full (for the moment), "Popeyes tweeted last week.
