Draymond Green jokes about all the times Steph Curry yelled at him

Steph Curry is known to be cool, calm and collected – at least in the public eye.

However, if you ask Draymond Green, that’s a different story.

TV cameras captured a frustrated and emotional Curry in the second half of the Warriors’ horrific 130-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday while shouting emphatically at his teammates on the bench.

It was perhaps the most upset Dub Nation that Curry had ever seen. But according to Green, Curry often yells at him, even at him.

“Steph yelled at me a few times,” Green told reporters after the Warriors practice on Friday. “It was about shooting the ball, actually.”

“Like, shoot the bullet!” Green screamed, in his best impression of Curry – although he did note that he was paraphrasing and leaving a few choice words.

“Little different from the words I use,” Green insinuated. “But yeah, he’s yelled at me before. Of course.”

In fact, after a slight pause, Green remembered another altercation.

“Remember the time I got in with Steve [Kerr] in [Oklahoma City]”Green asked Athletic’s Anthony Slater.”[Steph] was sitting right next to me. He stood over me and started yelling at me. He yelled at me several times. “

“Don’t try to be fooled by Steph,” Green warns. “He’s yelling at me.”

While Green can now shed some light on the situation, Curry’s frustration reaching a boiling point was obviously a cause for concern on Thursday night. Green explained why.

“The frustration was that we were playing slowly on the defense,” he said. “We had talked about hitting the ball and increasing the pressure and we weren’t doing that.”

Hopefully for the Warriors, Friday’s practice was helpful in putting that frustration aside. Golden State has lost four straight games, a season-high, and will look to turn the ship around in a quick two-game home game. They’ll have a tall order to do so, as they’re set to take on the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center starting Sunday.
