HOUSTON (AP) – According to authorities, a tow truck driver was arrested and charged after the death of a 68-year-old Texas man who was trying to prevent the driver from repossessing his SUV.

According to Houston police, Oscar Lee Harrison Jr. was trying to tow Alberto Nduli's SUV on Thursday morning. Nduli's family claimed to believe that the recovery was a mistake and jumped on the vehicle to prevent it from being taken away.

Police said Harrison continued to leave with the towed utility vehicle and that Nduli was finally ejected from the moving vehicle, mortally banging his head against the concrete.

Police said the 33-year-old man drove and dropped the van at the tow truck's parking lot and later returned to the scene where he was arrested.

Harrison is accused of failing to stop and provide help.
