Commander Schwan told DailyMail.com that the incident started in the parking lot when the drunken man allegedly drove in a parked car but casually wandered around the store without acknowledging the wreckage had occurred.

Officers were dispatched for a hit and run in the parking lot around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

“Further investigation revealed that Robinson had entered the business and was attempting to shoplift when confronted with store employees,” Schwan said.

‘Robinson allegedly threatened to assault anyone who touched him and that’s when a 21-year-old community member stepped in and confronted Robinson.

Robinson exited the store and was immediately arrested by waiting cops.

“When the officers arrived, they located Robinson in the parking lot and arrested him,” Schwan said.

The 21-year-old client who had brawled with the drunken man suffered a cut to his hand which required medical attention, cops said.
