The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have appointed a new private secretary to head their household.

according to The mail on SundayHarry and Meghan hired the highly respected diplomat Fiona Mcilwham to run their office.

Ms. Mcilwham was formerly United Kingdom ambassador to Albania, having risen through the ranks of the diplomatic service.

The 45-year-old assistant replaces Samantha Cohen, who will leave the cabinet secretary position at the end of the year.

Ms. Cohen will stay with Harry & Meghan until their visit to South Africa next month.

This followed their separation from the Kensington Palace where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are based.

The separation of the Sussex family from Cambridges means that each couple can focus on their own projects.
