Dungeons & Dragons announces new book Friday

Dungeons & Dragons will announce another upcoming project this Friday on D&D Live. G4 has confirmed that Wizards of the Coast will present a third product at its D&D Live event this week in addition to the already announced Nature beyond the light of the witches and Strixhaven: a circuit of chaos. Wizards had previously confirmed that he planned to publish three books in 2021, with an unannounced book published between Nature beyond the light of the witches – a Feywild adventure scheduled for release in September – and Strixhaven: a circuit of chaos – a campaign booklet detailing the Magic: The Gathering Strixhaven Magic College is slated for release in November. No details were provided on this third product book other than the announcement was coming Friday. However, Wizards had previously noted that this unannounced product would not be one of two classic settings revitalizing campaign settings books that were teased earlier in the year.

D&D Live is a two-day streaming event that will air on Peacock, Twitch and YouTube. Not only will it feature D&D releases for the rest of the year, but it will also feature five games featuring famous players. Players confirmed for this year include Kevin Smith, Tiffany Haddish, Deborah Ann Woll, streamer DrLupo, WWE Superstars Xavier Woods and Ember Moon, and Patton Oswalt. Many games will be inspired by The savage beyond the light of the witches, which takes place in the Feywild and involves a strange, fanciful carnival. The new incarnation of G4 will host this year’s D&D Live and also plans to produce several D&D-related projects when the channel officially launches later this year.

Obviously, we’ll have more coverage of the new D&D product on Friday when the book is officially announced. Stay tuned to ComicBook.com for more details on future D&D projects and follow me on @CHofferCBus to discuss all things table games.
