Dustin Diamond, ‘saved by the bell’ star, hospitalized, cancer likely

Dustin’s Diamond from “Saved By the Bell” was hospitalized – and cancer seems to be the likely prognosis … TMZ has learned.

Dustin’s team tell us he was hospitalized in Florida last weekend after experiencing pain all over his body and a general feeling of being unwell. We are told he was taken to the hospital, where doctors are performing a number of tests to determine what is wrong with him.

Our sources say his medical team is worried about cancer and is doing a biopsy to get answers. We’re told Dustin’s family has a history of cancer – his mother died of breast cancer – but it’s unclear what type of cancer they suspect in his case.

Dustin is best known for playing Screech over 4 seasons of “SBTB”.

Interestingly, it hasn’t been recast for the show’s reboot on Peacock – it looks like he and his former castmates have drifted off since filming ended in ’92.
