It is according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, who said on Wednesday that while Haskins was initially elected captain by his teammates in training camp, Washington had withdrawn that honor as “part of internal punishment” for this week’s violations. Haskins’ fine is $ 40,000, by Rapoport, the biggest known financial punishment for a COVID-19 violation and about half of his standard salary.
However, the team will not suspend Haskins, reduce his training reps, or reconsider his likely starter status for Week 16, by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
“There have been consequences and we are moving forward”, coach Ron Rivera said wednesday, later insisting that reporters refrain from asking Haskins any further questions and focus on Sunday’s game. “One thing I appreciated was his honesty in conversation.
