The next step of Dwight Howard could be a meeting with one of his former teams – one with a pressing need of center.
There is a "mutual interest" between Howard and the Lakers, according to L & # 39; Athletic, who reports that Los Angeles will ask permission from the Grizzlies to talk with this 33-year-old man. Illustrated Sports first reported the Lakers were interested in Howard.
The Lakers are looking for a center after DeMarcus Cousins tore his ACL last week while he was working in Las Vegas. Cousins, 29, signed a one year contract and $ 3.5 million with the Lakers after playing for the Warriors last season after recovering from a ripped Achilles.
Howard spent a season with the Lakers in 2012-13 after being traded from the Magic, winning the All-Star title for the seventh consecutive season.
