“AEW: Dynamite” topped WWE’s “Raw” in terms of key viewers for the first time this week.
With 681,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic and 1.3 million total viewers for Wednesday’s TNT episode, “Dynamite” had one of its best weeks since the show launched. The audience of 18 to 49 was the largest on record for the show, and the total viewership only reached the show’s first episode.
WWE’s “Raw” only drew 678,000 viewers into the demo, marking the first time the show has been outshone by its competition.
Wednesday’s episode was bolstered by the debut of Bryan Danielson (who previously wrestled for WWE as Daniel Bryan) and Adam Cole. “Dynamite” has also risen in odds since bringing back CM Punk, the fan favorite from WWE, who left the sport in 2014.
As TheWrap previously reported, “Dynamite” has increased in ratings on Wednesday nights since WWE’s “NXT” moved to Tuesdays earlier this year. For adults aged 18 to 49, the performance of All Elite Wrestling outperforms “NXT” by 88%. Overall, “Dynamite” beats “NXT” by 27%.
