E3 2019 Leak: Elden Ring is part of George RR Martin's new collaboration in software

As E3 2019 gets closer, leaks continue to arrive. The latest one confirms rumors of collaboration between From Software (Dark Souls, Sekiro) and George RR Martin, author of the A Song of Ice and Fire series on which Game of Thrones is based. This latest leak suggests that the new game is called Elden Ring and that the first works of art were published online.

according to Daniel "ZhugeEX" AhmedElden Ring is a "new world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. Martin R." for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Miyazaki is best known for his work as President of From Software, where he developed Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro.

Although details about the composition of the game have not been disclosed, we have a leaked image of what appears to be a teaser or key art. Take a look below.

Earlier rumors involving Elden Ring (previously identified as GR or Great Rune) described the game as an open world experience in which you explore various realms. Killing the leaders behind each kingdom allows you to unlock their abilities or supernatural powers.

The image above corroborates this rumor by describing a giant ring of light comprising several smaller rings, which looks very much like a circular ring surrounding several others. There seems to be a reservoir of energy at the top of the image that drains in a straight line toward the larger ring, perhaps even pulling a surplus of energy from the smaller rings it has to cross. Maybe Elden Ring sees your hero draw his power from a mysterious source, but only to amplify that power in different ways compared to other leaders. Although this is speculation on our part, this would certainly correspond to From Software's narrative, because a similar background is used for the High Lord Wolnir of Dark Souls III – a king who travels the land and draws power from the kingdoms he crushed.

Rumors say that Elden Ring has been in development for three years, making it one of two games that From Software began working after Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The game is supposed to be officially revealed at the Microsoft press conference on E3 2019, during which the company reportedly announced the launch of the next generation Xbox console and the fourth game Fable. We will know for sure Sunday.

This escape from Elden Ring was one of many fast leaks involving the Bandai Namco publisher. In a short time, we also learned the existence of a remastered Ni no Kuni and the next Tales of game, Tales of Arise.
