AIn the month of June, the video game industry is preparing to gather in Los Angeles convention centers. In appearance, to have a complete overview of all new titles (and consoles) coming in six, 12 and even maybe 24 months.
It's a strange year, with several major publishers not participating in the show – Sony, Activision and EA all have a reduced presence or no presence at the convention – and the whole discussion is about streaming services rather than on future consoles.
So, what will be announced? Here's everything we think we can see during these five days …
The all-new Xbox
Sony is not present, but the PlayStation 5 was unveiled in April via a long feature on wired. This gave Microsoft the impetus to unveil the next Xbox as soon as possible, which we know is under development. According to some rumors, he should be out around Christmas next year. In the absence of material competition at E3, we expect that Microsoft will provide us with much information on the next steps for the future of the platform.
A Cyberpunk 2077 release date
Perhaps the most popular game of E3 last year, Cyberpunk 2077 again makes an exciting appearance at the 2019 show. The form this will take is currently a mystery, but with Microsoft leading the way with new material, we would not be surprised if we had a release date for the next role-playing game to world open. The publisher has made a big deal at the 2018 conference – maybe this year will see even a launch title for the new Xbox.
Fable 4 reveal
Fable 4 is real and the rumor is very different from what the fans expected. Finished Albion, the imaginary country of previous games of the English industrial era; it has been replaced by – of all things – many different planets. The developer of this much-anticipated fourth installment is supposed to be Playground Games, the force behind Forza Horizon, which would make a great start for a studio best known for its spin-offs into the open world.
Last year's Bethesda conference was a real chaos, with wall-announcements of all kinds of studios in its list. We do not think we'll see anything from his main Bethesda Game Studios team this year, though. The brains behind Skyrim and Fall We remain silent, we think, by hiding in the spotlight after the disaster last year. Fallout 76; busy at work to make sure that the next Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI are worthy of a modern audience.
A new game from Arkane Studios
Manufacturers of Dishonored and Prey have been largely silent since its release in 2017. The pre-E3 is welcomed by the fact that clever manufacturers of some of the best immersive sims in the world will have something very exciting to show at the conference. Bethesda Sunday. We do not think it will be a sequel to any of the studio's existing series. The bet is therefore on a brand new intellectual property that could be one of the first games on the PS5 and the new generation Xbox.
Crossing of animals Trade in December 2019
Nintendo's software stimulation is still a bit confusing, but we're sure the next Crossing of animals must be announced for Switch. This is one of the most anticipated games of the platform, and it is certain that it will sell millions of copies. However, so far, Nintendo has remained completely silent on the subject. No big Mario games on the horizon, and only a remake of a classic Zelda on which to really rely for Switch's third Christmas, a new Crossing of animals would be a smart move.
Release date of Halo Infinite
We thought that the trailer of Halo Infinity Looked at best. The Middling graphics did not really sell the idea of a new generation. Halo experience. And yet: we remain very enthusiastic about the future of the franchise, especially as shooters are turning to online experiences such as destiny. As one of Microsoft's most famous series, we would not be very surprised that the game has no new trailer and speculative release date to accompany the news on the new Xbox.
