E3 2019: The Biggest Ads of the Square Enix Press Conference: Marvel's Avengers, Remake of Final Fantasy VII

The Square Enix E3 2019 press conference was held early this week in E3 and we had a lot of information, revelations, trailers and quotes. The company announced new remasters of Final Fantasy, unveiled more Final Fantasy VII Remake and announced a new Bulletstorm maker title.

The biggest news, at least for some, may be in the end when Square Enix introduced the brand new Avengers game from Marvel, intended for the console and the PC in 2020. Here is a brief summary of the most important announcements from of the presentation.

The Avengers of Marvel finally revealed

Let's start with the end. Square Enix closed its E3 2019 briefing with the official revelation of Marvel's Avengers, which until then had been locked in secrecy. Square Enix did not show much gameplay, but the company confirmed that its story would be told over "several years" and that, in the good news, all characters and post-release locations will be free. We also learned what kind of game it was.

Square Enix said that players can work together in teams of up to four to save the planet from hostile threats in an original story. Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America are the first characters, and Square Enix has recruited huge names like Troy Baker, Nolan North, Laura Bailey and others to express them. The game will be launched in May 2020 and there will be a preliminary beta version that PS4 users can access first.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Details

Square Enix announced the release date of Final Fantasy VII Remake a day before at a music concert, but the company still had news to share during the briefing. The PS4 exclusive was widely introduced at the start of the show with an extensive gaming demonstration and a breakdown of the fights with Cloud and Barret. Specifically, Square Enix showed how Active Tim Battle Wait works (ATB Wait) in the remake. In addition, the demonstration showed more mechanics of the action-RPG game.

In addition to fighting details, Square Enix has announced the first edition of $ 330 of the 1st class, a Steelbook case, an art book, a mini-sound CD and a Play Arts Kai Cloud Strife statue and Hardy Daytona. There are also a variety of digital extras such as the Materia DLC bonus invocation (Carbuncle and Cactuar) and a Chocobo chick for pre-ordering.

Gears Of War Judgment Devs Reveals New Game

The Polish developer behind Gears of War Judgment and Bulletstorm announced a brand new intellectual property called Outriders at the Square Enix press conference. It's an action / shooting game featuring cooperation, and it unfolds in a dark and brutal world invaded by ugly creatures. Playing on the forces of the developer People Can Fly, the game features a wide variety of different weapons that players can use to defeat their enemies. Outriders will be launched in the summer of 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. People Can Fly says that you can expect more details about the game this winter.

Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers Release Date

The popular Final Fantasy XIV Online by MMO Final Fantasy was featured at Square Enix's E3 2019 press conference. Producer Naoki Yoshida explained how he sees Shadowbringers as more than an expansion pack, stuffed with enough new content to become his own game. The expansion adds two new jobs, Gunbreaker and Dancer, as well that two new breeds – Hrothgar and Viera – are also added to the extension.

Shadowbringers will be launched on July 2nd.
