Eagles' cornerback Avonte Maddox has been stretched after being hit hard by his fourth-quarter teammate

Philadelphia Eagles' cornerback midfielder Avonte Maddox was forced to leave Lambeau Field Thursday evening after being hit hard by teammate Andrew Sendejo at the end of the fourth quarter.

Maddox was covering Green Bay Packers receiver Robert Tonyan, who had caught a pass from quarterback Aaron Rogers. Sendejo tried to attack him but instead got Maddox, reported Deadspin.

Maddox lay on the floor for a moment, but looked alert when he was executed.

"Avonte Maddox has movement in all ends. For reasons of precaution, he was sent to the hospital for further assessment, "the Eagles announced on Twitter shortly after midnight.

Running back Jamaal Williams of the Green Bay Packers also had to be wiped out after an illegal head shot in the first quarter, according to Deadspin.

The Eagles won 34-27.
