Eagles' D-Jax off 2 weeks with the strain

PHILADELPHIA – DeSean Jackson, wide receiver of the Eagles, is suffering from an abdominal sprain that should marginalize him for two weeks, sources told ESPN.

A doctor has recommended surgery, which would have put the 32-year-old man in jail for about six weeks, but Jackson wants to get back to action as quickly as possible. So he chose not to participate, said a source.

Jackson came out early in the first half against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

Philadelphia brought it back through an exchange with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March to provide Carson Wentz with a serious and real threat. They logged in for two touchdowns over 50 yards in the opening match against Washington.

Receiver Alshon Jeffery could also miss Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions after suffering an early calf injury against Atlanta.
