Eagles fan confidence quadruple after Jalen Hurts first win

The last time we checked Eagles fan confidence via the SB Nation Reacts poll, Philadelphia had the least confident base in the entire NFL. The Eagles were all down 5%!

That number has since more than quadrupled after Jalen Hurts’ first career start in the NFL, which turned out to be a win over the New Orleans Saints.

It’s not like Eagles fans think everything is back on track and all issues have been resolved. But there was enough encouragement to take the Eagles to 22%, which is their highest rating in about 1.5 months.

Visual form:

The Eagles are tied at 22% with the Chicago Bears. The only teams with lower confidence ratings:

It’s certainly not a good company but the Eagles can continue to climb higher with another win this week.

At the same time, general questions and concerns remain. Eagles fans are left in a strange place right now. Our own survey data here at BGN shows a division between rooting wins and positioning the draft:

It’ll be quite interesting to see how the Eagles fare in Hurts’ second start. Can the rookie build on last week’s encouraging performance? Or will the Cardinals find out and remind us all that the Eagles are a very bad team? The plot!

Speaking of Philly’s opponent at Week 15, Arizona fans are 11th in fan confidence after a whopping 50% increase (from 32% to 82%) after the week’s resounding victory last.

Elsewhere in the NFC East, it’s no surprise to see the division-leading Washington football team ranking No.1 with a 94% confidence rating. Ron Rivera’s team have won four straight victories.

It’ll be tough for Washington to win five in a row, however, as Alex Smith is ruled out of this week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Hard to take the team with Russell Wilson to lose against starting team Dwayne Haskins.

The New York Giants saw a predictable drop after being blown away in Week 14. They fell from 94% to 72% with three games to go.

Dallas Cowboys fan confidence rose from 24% to 30% after a resounding victory over a poor Bengals team. No big takeaways to glean as much as they beat a team that was even worse than them.
