Although Black Friday 2020 does not officially arrive until November 27, many stores have launched the first sales. But many of them occur sporadically: Amazon just suspended the big discounts it offered on Echo devices, and we are currently between Walmart’s Planned Black Friday Sales. (The next one will start on Wednesday, November 11.)

Meanwhile, Best Buy now has select Black Friday deals, although some of those prices have been lower before (and could be lower before the end of the month).

The list below includes some of our favorite early deals, but a lot of them have expired – for now. We keep them here because we expect the discounts to return, so you can plan ahead for the weeks to come. We’ve also queued up some of the best items from Walmart’s upcoming event.

As always, bookmark this post and check it often for updates!

Best deals for the start of Black Friday available now

TCL

This 55-inch TCL has a 4K UHD screen with HDR. It’s equipped with our favorite smart TV interface, Roku, which you can control with the included voice remote. There are four HDMI inputs (including ARC) and dual band Wi-Fi for smooth streaming.

The TCL 55-inch 4K UHD HDR Roku Smart TV will go on sale for $ 148 starting November 11.

HP

This mid-range pavilion is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor, a 512 GB SSD and a screen of 1920×1080 pixels. It also features upgraded B&O speakers and weighs 3.9 pounds.

The HP Pavilion 15.6-inch Horizon Blue laptop will go on sale for $ 379 starting November 11.

Keurig

With the lowest price on record, the K-Mini is about as compact as coffee makers. Put on a pod, pour in water, press a button – it’s as easy as coffee makers come. This one can brew cups ranging from 6 to 12 ounces.

With standard AirPods on sale for a record price of $ 99 (see below), why spend almost double to get AirPods Pro? I’m going to make the case for a better fit and better sound, but, in reality, it’s all about noise cancellation – these in-ear headphones block out outside noise better than any other product on the market.

They are also great for calls and offer a great transparency mode. Do you like to train? AirPods Pro are sweat resistant; Standard AirPods are not.

Pro tip: Use your Amazon Prime Rewards Visa card to get 5% cashback on this purchase, bringing your price down to $ 184.30. You don’t have this card? If you’re a Prime subscriber, grab it and earn a $ 100 Amazon gift card. This would reduce the original price to just $ 94, then $ 89.30 after the 5% cash back. Read our AirPods Pro review.

Best buy

TCL is best known for its Roku TVs, and we like the Roku smart TV system better than the Android TV version of this TV, but for that price you can just buy a Roku Streaming Stick Plus, attach it to this TV, and still go out in front. Intelligence aside, we’d expect this Series 4 TV to perform “fairly well,” just like the Roku equivalent.

Note that it was $ 50 cheaper last week, and so maybe again – but for now, it’s still a pretty good deal on a 55-inch smart TV.

Bose

If there ever was a time to cut the world off, it’s now. (Because, you know, election, pandemic, deadly hornets …) Sure, there are new noise canceling boxes on the ear from Sony and even Bose, but this perennial favorite was awesome when it came out and it was. is still awesome now – especially at this price, which rivals the lowest we’ve seen. (Original list price: $ 350.) Read our Bose QuietComfort 35 II review.

Lenovo’s top-of-the-line two-in-one, the Yoga C940, features a sturdy and stylish all-metal design and a touchscreen that can rotate 360 degrees in tablet mode. It includes an active stylus and can also wake up instantly from sleep, one of the phone-like features it received through Intel’s Project Athena.

This setup includes a 14-inch display with 4K resolution powered by a 10th gen Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD with 32GB of super-fast Optane memory. A similarly configured Yoga C40 on Lenovo’s site costs $ 1,650, so this deal is even better than it looks. And it already looked good. Read our Lenovo Yoga C940 review.

Early Black Friday offers: sold out or expired (for now)

Amazon, Walmart, Costco, and other stores were offering AirPods for $ 99, the lowest price on record, but for now that deal is gone. In its place: $ 194 AirPods Pro from Amazon (see above), also the lowest price ever.

Will the $ 99 AirPods be back? [Shakes Magic 8-Ball.] All signs indicate yes. Read our AirPods review.

Instant pot

These days, a multicooker is an essential kitchen tool, like a toaster or microwave. This Instant Pot Viva can get you into the multi-cooker business for half the price: $ 49 gets you a new in one gadget that works as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, sous vide, cake maker and more. It has a capacity of 6 liters and comes with 15 preset programs for recipes including soups, beans, rice, ribs and eggs.

Normally $ 30, the new Fire Stick Lite for 2020 continues to get a solid discount before Black Friday. This entry-level streamer offers 1080p video with HDR (but not 4K) support. The big apps missing are HBO Max and Peacock (for now), but the Alexa-powered voice remote is top notch. Read our Fire TV Stick Lite review.

The Echo Show 8 is simply a larger version of the Echo Show 5, but that makes it a better candidate for the kitchen and other places where you might prefer a larger screen. (This is certainly preferable for video calls.) This is the lowest price ever for this model.

Note that Amazon lists a stock date of November 24, so head to Best Buy if you’d rather get it right away. Read our Echo Show 8 review.

New in 2020, the Apple Watch SE is the central child of the Apple Watch range. It has the same basic design as the 6 Series, but lacks the always-on display, ECG functionality, and oxygen saturation readings of this model. The 40mm and 44mm models are priced at $ 279 and $ 309 at the Apple Store, but this weekend’s $ 50 discount is the first big holiday sale we’ve seen on this model. Read our Apple Watch SE review.

Eufy

You don’t have to spend hundreds to add automation to cleaning your home. The Eufy RoboVac 25C can be controlled via a mobile app or by voice with Alexa and Google Home. It is smart enough to differentiate between floors and rugs and can avoid stairs automatically.

What you need to know about Black Friday 2020

Black Friday 2020 is shaping up to be a very different type of shopping experience than any other holiday shopping weekend in recent memory. With ongoing inventory issues due to expansion global pandemic – not to mention the need for retailers to maintain a safe environment for customers and employees – it is likely that there won’t be a crowd of customers waiting to queue for hours before the massive sales of doors.

In fact, a number of stores will be closed on Thanksgiving this year, ending a long tradition of launching Black Friday sales before the turkey has a chance to cool down. These retailers have yet to announce plans for Friday, November 27, but we’ll update this article as we learn more about their vacation hours.

Additionally, all of the retailers listed below require customers to wear masks. Unless their policies change between now and Thankskgiving, it’s safe to assume that face covers will be needed for Black Friday sales as well.
