Square Enix was an interesting editor to watch at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The company has been in full swing with new game announcements and updates on some highly anticipated titles it has in the works. It also helps keep fans up to date with games they might not be so hot on, like Mana Echoes. Revealed earlier this year, Echoes is an upcoming free mobile game developed by Wright Flyer Studios. Her initial reveal really didn’t do much for me, but the new Mana Echoes the trailer below makes me sing a different tune.
Dare I ask, but does it look really good? Like, the fight actually seems to be a lot more interesting than a lot of its mobile contemporaries. My initial impression was that this game would be something more along the lines of by Dissidia: Final Fantasy Omnia Opera, which didn’t last too long on my Android. But it actually seems to deserve special attention.
Either way, we’ll know for sure whether it’s worth downloading or not when Mana Echoes launches worldwide in 2022 for iOS and Android. It gives me plenty of time to finally play through the Mana collection games that have been on my shelf for over a year now.
