Court reduces Luis Chiriboga's sentence from ten to six years

Court of the National Court of Justice agreed in casaión to reduce the sentence of ten years dictated against the former president of the Ecuadorian Football Federation, Luis Chiriboga to six years, arguing that, on the date on which the crime did not exist the complete organic penal code, and that the law against money laundering was to be applied.

The panel is composed of Judges Marco Maldonado, Iván Saquicela and Edgar Flores.

Hugo Mora and Pedro Vera, accountant and treasurer of the ETF, were favored with discounts of six and two years.
