The National Electoral Institute (INE) of Mexico City ratified on Sunday the victory of the leftist politician Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the presidential elections of June 1 after the end of the account with a recount of 75% votes
López Obrador won the presidency of Mexico as a candidate of the alliance of Labor parties (PT), social meeting (PES) and National Regeneration Movement (Morena), with 30 113 483 votes, 53.19% of the total, said the INE
The success of López Obrador was confirmed by the electoral authorities after the conclusion of the official account of 300 electoral constituencies of the country.
The official account included the account of 75% of the packets (117,634 of total votes) "the most numerous in our democratic history," said INE Executive Secretary Edmundo Jacobo Molina.
In an INE session held on Sunday, Jacobo Molina reported that 56,508,266 million votes were counted, which equates to a turnout of 63.42 percent of the nominal voters list.
Andrés Manuel López will take the presidency of Mexico on December 1st.
