From November 27, 2018, Ecuadorian tourists visiting Mexico will no longer have to apply for a visa. The government of this country has removed this requirement for ordinary pbadports.
Chancellor José Valencia announced the news on his Twitter account.
According to the Mexican agreement, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (of this country), in accordance with the applicable regulations, will notify the Government of the Republic of Ecuador the decision of the Mexican Government to remove the visa requirement in ordinary pbadports for Ecuadorian nationals ".
Before 2003, Ecuadorians could travel freely to the north of the country, but Mexican authorities imposed the need for a visa later, under pressure from the United States under the administration of George W. Bush, "because Ecuadorians used the facility to get to Mexico and from there, to cross the border illegally ".
The official journal of the Federation of the United Mexican States today issued the resolution that eliminates the visa requirement for Ecuadorian citizens who are traveling to this country for reasons of tourism and tourism. other unpaid activities https://t.co/o02NSEOlva
