Lima (EFE) .- The president of Peru Martín Vizcarra announced today the call for a referendum to lead to reform the judiciary, which is going through a serious corruption crisis, in addition to the re-election of members of Congress, during its message to the Nation for the anniversary of independence

"As this measure is urgent, we will begin the process of convening referendum for building confidence on an institution interviewed today " Vizcarra said before the plenary session of Congress.

During his speech, Vizcarra proposed the constitutional reform of the National Council of the Judiciary (19459009) by amending the Constitution to eliminate the system of representation and election of the administrators of the CNM. EFE (I)
