Festival musical project Quito Cellos celebrates its third edition.

Still the sound of the cello is the protagonist in the capital. The third edition of the Quito Cellos Festival arrives at the Casa de la Música. It is an educational and musical project, organized by the Cellos Prieto Ensemble.

The project was born in 2015, as an initiative to create a meeting of cellists, so that they exchange experiences in a pedagogical and musical format. A series of concerts is also offered during the working days, during which the public can enjoy a variety of scores taken from the hands of the participants.

In this third edition, international professors arrive to share their knowledge. They arrive in Quito as Germán Marcano (Venezuela) and Yegor Dyachkov (Canada)

. while on July 9, the days with children and teenagers are ready.

Presence
Marcano stands out among the most important cellists of the Latin American music scene. His performances have received high praise from musicians and specialist critics, and his chamber music work with the Rios Reyna Quartet has been highlighted as one of the most important on the continent.

Disciple of Maestro Stefan Popov and the famous English pedagogue William Pleeth, Marcano received his Bachelor of Music degree in 1983 at the prestigious University of Surrey, England, where he won the award for best recital of this year. For his part, Yegor Dyachkov was proclaimed Artist of the Year by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 2000. He has performed alongside major orchestras in cities such as Antwerp, Geneva, Montreal, Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Vancouver. at many international festivals in Evian, Kronberg, Lanaudière, Ottawa and Tanglewood.
