The 2018 Festival of Music, a festival organized by the Alliance Française in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of the Municipality of Quito, celebrates its 23rd edition in Quito, with a variety of musical proposals

L & # The event began in France on June 21, 1981, to give an ovation to the summer solstice. 37 years later, the Festival of Music is commemorated in 120 countries of the world. In Quito, the event has taken place since 1995.

This edition begins tomorrow, from 16:00, at Plaza Grande, in the historic center. The entrance is free.

National Poster
With interpretations of jazz and contemporary music, the UDLA Big Band will represent the best of national music. The duo of La Pompe Noire will also offer its jazz proposal, although in a gypsy style.

With a more traditional look, Carlos Grijalva will pay homage to the legendary Julio Jaramillo. The night ends with the rap and ancestral music of Los Nin.

Internationales
Meanwhile, from outside, Thibaud Banhooland, better known as Voyou, will visit Ecuador for the first time. The French bbadist is a musician since the age of 12 years. Considered an artist of the digital age, the 28 – year – old musician published "We 'll Embrace With You". (2017)

musical proposals on stage. Inüit, from Nantes, also arrives at the Fiesta. Formed in 2013, the electronic pop group is composed of six members.

With an alternative musical proposal, Broken Back completes the list of international guests. The singer and guitarist Jerome Fagnet directs the group. He was nominated, in 2016, to the Victorires of Music, as a revealing artist of the year.
