This season’s The Voice contestants are in for a treat as Ed Sheeran joins the show.
NBC Universal has announced that the top of the charts, 30, will put his talents and expertise to the service of the season 21 show as a “mega mentor” on Tuesday.
Ed will guide the competitors who have made it through the bouts with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, John Legend and Blake Shelton.

Starting Monday, October 25, Shivers’ crooner will step in to help performers in the knockout rounds where contestants will be matched with one of their teammates.

Coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande and John Legend all went out of their way to sign the remaining candidates they needed to complete their squads.
The episode ended with a powerful performance from Brittany Bree, who spun all four judges before choosing John Legend.

The first contender for the fifth round of the blind auditions was Ryleigh Plank, 20, of Fort. Meyers, Fla. Who performed Demi Lovato’s “Anyone”.
Ryleigh told the camera music was her life and helped her “get her out of the trenches.” She said she didn’t have many friends, had bullying issues, and suffered from depression and anxiety.
She ultimately chose Ariana who said she was so excited to have her on her team. “I love Ryleigh,” Ariana said.
Auditions for The Voice will continue Tuesday night on NBC.
