Eddie Lampert's company will buy the rest of Sears, its factory outlets

Hedge fund owner Edward Lampert signed an agreement that would put Sears Hometown stores under the same umbrella as Sears and Kmart.

Transform Holdco LLC, which owns Sears and Kmart and is controlled by the former CEO of Sears Holdings Corp., currently buys 42% of Sears Hometown & Outlet Stores Inc. as the hedge funds and affiliates of Mr. Lampert does not currently own for $ 2.25 a cash share, companies announced Monday. Sears Hometown stores were separated from Sears Holdings about seven years ago.
