Eddie Murphy reveals his favorite character he played

Eddie Murphy returns to the big screen with his latest film, Coming 2 America – a sequel to his 1988 comedic hit.

On Sunday, the actor, 59, revealed what it was like working with his daughter, Bella Murphy, 19, who stars alongside him in the film as Omma, the daughter of his Prince Akeem character.

“You could go see your child in a play at school and your heart would burst with pride,” he told the Sunday Project.

“ So watching a movie set and my daughter is there and she’s in my movie and doing an amazing job, you make me start to get goofy and gushing.

“ It’s a special thing to have your little girl in the movie and do a great job, ” the star said.

Eddie also revealed his favorite character he’s ever played – singer Randy Watson, who appeared on Coming To America in 1988.

“The one I most want to see on screen is Randy Watson. I could make a whole movie of him, ”he says.

However, the Daddy Day Care actor says the six hours spent in the makeup chair bringing characters like Randy to life are just too much for him.

“Every time I’m on a makeup movie, I’m like, ‘Never again. I’ll never do it again.’ And kind of the way I end up doing it. But this is the last time, ”he said.

Eddie shares his daughter Bella with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy, 53. The couple married between 1993 and 2006.

The funny guy has 10 children, five of which he shares with his ex-wife Nicole.

He also has a daughter, Angel, 13, with Melanie ‘Mel B’ Brown of Spice Girls fame.

The comedian has been engaged to Australian model Paige Butcher, 41, since 2012, and they have two children – daughter Izzy, four, and son Max, two.
