Princess Béatrice, 31, is ninth to the throne
"You will never be alone my love, my heart is your house, hand in hand, today, tomorrow and forever."
These are the words chosen by Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in his post Instagram, announcing his engagement with Princess Beatrice Thursday.
So who is the man who will become the newest member of the royal family?
- Princess Beatrice engaged to a property mogul
Known as Edo, the 34-year-old millionaire property mogul is descended from the Italian aristocracy, according to the AFP news agency.
He has a young son named Wolfie with Dara Huang, his ex-fiancée, which means that Princess Beatrice will become a stepmother when they get married next year.
Edoardo's father – Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi – is a count and former alpine skier who competed for Britain at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan.

The couple announced the new Thursday after being engaged to Italy earlier this month.
His mother is Nikki Williams-Ellis, who would be married to sculptor David Williams-Ellis.
She was previously married to Christopher Shale, senior curator and close friend of former Prime Minister David Cameron.
Mr. Shale died of heart disease at the Glastonbury Festival in 2011.
Ms. Williams-Ellis was named MBE in 2016, after being nominated by Mr. Cameron on the honors list of his resignation.

Mapelli Mozzi is the director of Banda, a real estate development company, according to Companies House.
On his website, Banda says his mission is to create "homes of exception" and that Mr. Mapelli Mozzi's Instagram feed is filled with photographs of luxurious homes in London and New York, in which the company is involved .
His old apartment – which he was selling in 2017 – is equally stylish.
According to his LinkedIn page, Mapelli Mozzi – a University of Edinburgh alumni – has developed more than 400,000 square feet of London properties worth an estimated 700 million pounds at the age of 30.
He also co-founded the charity Cricket Builds Hope. His stepfather had the idea, but he died before he could go any further.
The organization encourages people to play cricket in Rwanda "as a tool for positive social change".
