Edward Snowden wants to go home but says the US will not give him a fair trial

Former NSA contractor Edward Snowden sheds new light on his decision to reveal classified documents about the US government's mass surveillance program. In 2013, Snowden revealed government programs collecting e-mails, phone calls and the Internet activity of Americans in the name of national security. The US government accused Snowden of his actions under the law on espionage. A congressional report says his revelations "have caused considerable damage to national security." In his new memoir, "Permanent Record", Snowden tells his story in detail for the first time and talks about his life in exile in Russia. Snowden, who now identifies himself as a privacy advocate, has spoken with "CBS This Morning" in an exclusive interview on US television, published only for satellite delays, but not for editorial content.
