Eevee Community Day returns to Pokemon GO in July for a two-day celebration

Today, Niantic announced that almost exactly three years after the first day of the Eevee community in Pokemon GO, the Pokemon Evolution will once again be the featured Pokemon in August. And just like last time, this community day will span two days instead of just one normal day.

Despite this similarity to the original Eevee Community Day, there are a number of features and bonuses that will be quite different. For starters, each eeveelution will have its own special Community Day attack instead of just learning Last Resort. Instead, Eevee that you catch in the wild or hatch during Community Day will know the last resort.

You can find the full list of Community Day attacks below.

  • Vaporeon: scald
  • Jolteon: Zap Cannon
  • Flareon: Superpower
  • Espeon: Shadow ball
  • Umbreon: psychic
  • Leafeon: Bullet seed
  • Ice cream: Water pulse
  • Sylveon: psychological shock

And what’s even more remarkable is that the evolution window for getting Pokemon with these moves will be significantly expanded compared to regular Community Day events. Typically, you’ll be able to evolve a Pokémon on Community Day for up to two hours after the event ends while still gaining its Special Attack. This time around, any Evoli evolved between August 13 at 10 a.m. and August 16 at 10 a.m. will be able to learn an attack exclusive to the event.

And if you’re still worried about having a little trouble getting some of the new evolutions (Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon), then there will be some extra help along the way. There will be a timed search task line that will reward you with a Mossy Lure and an Icy Lure. And for Sylveon, Eevee will only need to gain seven hearts as a buddy instead of the standard 70.

Over the course of the two-day Eevee Community Day event, a handful of bonuses and features will be available to Pokemon GO trainers.

  • Eevee will appear more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might meet a Shiny one!
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise (this is usually a photobomb of the featured Pokémon)!
  • The eggs will require a quarter of their usual hatching distance.
  • Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Decoy modules activated during the event will last for three hours.

Finally, the in-game store will offer a few items that you can collect. Much like past events, there will be a $ 1 ticket that grants you access to a special research story titled What You Choose To Be. There will also be a Community Day Box available for 1280 PokeCoins which will contain 50 Ultra Balls, five Incense, one Elite ChargedTM and one Elite FastTM.

The Eevee Community Day event itself will take place between Saturday August 14, 2021 and Sunday August 15, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time each day.
