The Charter The Egyptian population has reached a new record, with data from the Central Agency for Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) of 2018 showing the country's population rising to 96 ,3 million.
The agency noted that the number rose from 94.8 million in 2017 to 96.3 million in early 2018, an increase of 1.5 million from the latest census data.
The Cairo governorate is the largest governorate in terms of population, with a population of about 9.7 million, followed by Giza with 8.8 million inhabitants on the 1st. January 2018.
The total unemployment rate was 11.8% among women at 23.1% compared to 8.2% for men, and the size of the workforce was 29.5 million, according to the release.
