MADRID (Reuters) – Senegalese striker Sadio Mani's participation in the Paris St Germain match in Liverpool will take place on Wednesday in the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League group games.

The Daily Mail newspaper reported that Mani was suffering from a health problem that was threatening his team in the decisive match against St Germain, but his absence was not confirmed.

The state of Mani will be evaluated and its ability to participate in the match, announced Tuesday the team before traveling to France.

Liverpool leads group C with six points clear of Napoli, followed by St Germain with five points and Serbia's Red Star with four points.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is looking to qualify for the round of 16 with a win over St Germain, but only if Napoli avoids defeat.
