The Irish Senate has pbaded a law prohibiting the importation or sale of goods or services produced in occupied territories around the world, including illegal Israeli settlements under international law.
The bill was approved by the Council by a majority of 25 to 20 to consider trade in these goods and services as illegal. It was presented by an independent senator and supported by all major Irish political parties with the exception of the ruling party Fain Gail.
