The Ministry of Supply and the World Food Program have agreed to cooperate in several areas, including improving the efficiency of the wheat supply chain at all stages of trade, reflecting positively and effectively the quality of the final product, bread and the continuous addition of nutrients.
This was done at the meeting of the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Ali Al-Meselhi, in his office, officials of the World Food Program in Egypt, which included: Mangstab Haile, Director of the Regional Program in Egypt, Supply Chain Management Officer And a number of leaders of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.
It was also agreed to set up an information system and geographical maps using GIS technology for all stages of circulation and supply of wheat and flour since its arrival. In addition to supporting small-scale wheat producers in Egypt and linking them to storage sites and silos and avoid reducing the volume of waste or losses in the supply chain, in order to improve the productivity.
