The Mini Cooper SE battery electric vehicle will go on sale in 2020, according to Ars Technica. The 148-167 mile range specified by the manufacturer will likely be 150 miles between charges and its engine is 181 hp.
From Ars Technica:
Over 60 years of Mini, the brand has always been focused on small front-wheel drive cars, and this continues here. In this case, the front wheels will be driven by an electric motor of 181 hp (135 kW) and 270 lb-ft (270 lb-ft) powered by a lithium-ion battery of 32.6 kWh. In order not to compromise the minimal form factor of the Mini, the battery pack is T-shaped, and apparently, there is no reduction in the charging volume.
