Today, at the Lavecon Elite Dangerous event, participants had a glimpse of the direction the game will take for the remainder of 2019 – with details of additions to the game in important updates. from September and December, as well as a new trailer of the latest great addition to the Elite universe: Fleet Carriers.

We knew that Elite Dangerous would be acquiring these giant fleet carriers for almost two years now. This is our first confirmation of the release date of these mobile bases belonging to players. They were originally scheduled to be released as part of the squadron update last year, but they have apparently been delayed. The Fleet Holders will now be added as part of the December 2019 update for the game, and this is just one of the developments that the complements developer has presented to Lavecon.

Frontier also revealed what players can expect in the September update. This will include a whole new starter experience to introduce players to Elite Dangerous in a more natural way, and the addition of a virtual currency called Arx on all platforms, including the PC version.

Previously, console versions of Elite Dangerous had a virtual currency called "Border Points", which could be used for game items such as ship kits, bobbleheads and other customization enhancements – while the Computer owners bought products directly from the Frontier store. This premium currency is currently reworked in Arx and implemented in the PC version. It can be both purchased with real money and earned in the game, such as through activities in the game. Frontier has more details about Arx here but says it will have more details on how the currency works and that it can be earned closer to the September update.

The September update also includes the new "boot experience in the ship," as Frontier calls it. This updated tutorial will immediately start players aboard a ship. This is an attempt to familiarize new players with game systems faster and more naturally. "With clearer instructions and advice from the beginning of Elite Dangerous, the new starter stream should provide a more engaging way to learn the basics to become full-fledged drivers." Current players can also try this new experience by selecting the & # 39; training section "right from their cockpit, once the update is put online anyway.

Squadrons will be able to purchase and use them as a mobile operations base, and players from this squadron will be able to refuel, rearm, and re-appear. We had already heard that Frontier had big plans for Elite's future, which certainly qualifies it.
