Armie Hammer’s wife Elizabeth Chambers has kept quiet about the controversy surrounding her, but no more.
The TV personality, who filed for divorce from the actor in July, couldn’t help but comment on an article about the actor Call me by your name director, Luca Guadagnino, and co-star, Timothée Chalamet, team up for a cannibalistic love story called Bones and all.
In response to Just Jared’s Instagram post with the news, Chambers wrote, “No. Words. “
According to The Hollywood Reporter. It is based on the novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis.
Hammer, with whom Chambers shares two young children, has left two projects – The Godfather TV series and film Shotgun wedding– since social media messages leaked from an anonymous House of Effie account, alleged non-consensual and violent sexual encounters and emotional abuse by Hammer, who denied the allegations. The alleged conversations included discussions of rape fantasies, his desire to inflict pain on his partners, and a conversation claiming he was “100% a cannibal.”
This led to two other women, who said they had dated him since his split from Chambers, to come forward. Courtney Vucekovich claimed Hammer was emotionally abusive and wanted to eat his flesh, which allowed her to seek treatment for PTSD after their separation. Paige Lorenze also claimed he had marked her, left her covered in bruises and wanted to remove and eat one of her ribs.
When Hammer gave up Shotgun wedding, he issued a statement addressing the controversy, saying: “I am not responding to these *** bull claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. “
The only other comment Hammer made was when he apologized after posting a video on his private Instagram account of a woman wearing lingerie in bed he called “Miss Cayman.” In a statement to Cayman Compass, he said, “I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman. I’m very sorry for any confusion my crazy attempt at humor may have caused. My sincere condolences to Miss Cayman, whom I do not know, and to the entire organization, as I had no intention of suggesting that she was in fact Miss Cayman.
Hammer and Chambers married in 2010 and are parents to Harper, 6, and Ford, 4. They announced their separation in July and she remained in the Cayman Islands with their children. He was unable to visit the children before the holidays.
Chambers has not otherwise spoken publicly about the split, but a close friend of the former TV correspondent told a tabloid that while she was aware of his infidelities, he had “a whole other side of him that she was not aware ”. The friend added: “Armie appears to be a monster.”
