Elizabeth Warren goes after President Trump's sister as part of anti-corruption plan

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) adds new proposals to her anti-corruption plan, this time with a particularly challenging target: President Trump's sister.

In a Medium article published on Monday, the Massachusetts Democrat proposes to remove the loophole that "allows federal judges to evade investigations for misconduct by retiring from office."

In referring to this idea, Warren specifically refers to a case involving Trump's sister, Maryanne Trump-Barry, whose retirement abruptly ended an investigation into her role in various family tax schemes and a possible fraud.

"According to my plan, investigations will remain open until their findings are made public and sanctions for misconduct are pronounced," writes Warren in his message.
