The ‘Umbrella Academy’ star married dancer and choreographer Portner in 2018.
Elliot Page and his wife Emma Portner have decided to end their marriage, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
“After much thought and thought, we made the difficult decision to divorce after our separation last summer,” the couple wrote in a statement. “We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.”
Oscar nominees Juno The star married Portner, dancer and choreographer, in early 2018. On January 3 of that year, Page posted on Instagram: “I can’t believe I can call this amazing woman my wife,” alongside a photo of the couple’s hands with engagement rings, and a black and white image of the pair entwined.
In December 2020, Page came out as transgender and non-binary, expressing at the time, “I can’t begin to express how remarkable it is to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.”
Over the years, Page has shared various other photos on Instagram from her wedding to Portner, especially for date nights and pride day.
Page is currently continuing her role as Vanya Hargreeves in Netflix’s action comedy Umbrella Academy.
