Tesla CEO Elon Musk is supposed to save the world, and everything is fine. But coupled with bad tweets and surveys and the like, Bloomberg now reports that an alleged confrontation between Musk and a former employee would have been physical.

Tesla's board has investigated allegations that Musk allegedly pushed a former employee who had recently resigned, according to Bloomberg, after following him out of the office and shouting at him as he was gathering his business and left the building:

The employee told people that Musk had pushed him, an account corroborated by other people having knowledge of the incident. Another person described it as a touch or a light touch. In both cases, the incident caught the attention of Tesla's board, which said in a statement to Bloomberg News that it had reviewed the issue and compiled the accounts of witnesses. The board concluded that there was no "physical altercation", although it does not deal specifically with the allegation of physical contact or verbal harangue.

When the altercation spread across the parking lot, Musk threatened to launch a nuclear arsenal on the poor nameless person:

Outside, Musk again confronted and continued to reprimand him, warning the employee that he was harming Tesla, "I am going to kill you," according to one of the people having direct knowledge of the incident. Other people said the warning was meant to keep the employee silent about what had happened that day.

Yeesh. Bloomberg's story continues with quite devastating successes, including allegations by former anonymous employees that they are still afraid of Musk, even after they leave the company, and that Musk has already fired an employee at the time. We contacted Tesla to comment on the Bloomberg report, and the company denied that any physical altercation took place in a statement from a company spokesperson.

"Elon left an employee at our Fremont delivery center last year due to concerns about his performance, but there was no physical altercation," the statement said. "This information is simply false, as confirmed by many people who have observed the incident first-hand."

The spokesman also made an additional statement from Tesla's board of directors:

It is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to take seriously all matters of interest to us that affect senior management, regardless of size. In this case, we conducted a thorough examination, which proved that there was never any physical altercation, a fact confirmed by many people present at the time.

The spokesman did not comment on the additional allegations of work atmosphere.
