On April 4, the chief executive of the Securities and Exchange Commission will fight the Securities and Exchange Commission to ask if he should be found guilty of contempt of court, a federal judge in Manhattan said Tuesday. The spitting concerns a February tweet about the number of vehicles that Tesla will manufacture in 2019. The SEC claimed that this deal had been violated by an agreement last fall, when Musk had settled a fraud investigation over another tweet. As part of the agreement, Musk agreed that Tesla would be subject to prior surveillance and approval of its important tweets for the company. Musk's lawyers contend that the tweet was not important.
