Elon Musk mocks meme mocking Jeff Bezos’ upcoming space flight as billionaire feud continues

The rivalry between Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos and the two billionaires eager to reach space has now reached the stage of even a feud.

On Saturday, SpaceX CEO Musk appeared to spend most of his day responding to memes sent to him on Twitter, which he seems to do every day.

After answering a question about the new Tesla FSD Beta, the South African entrepreneur received a meme using the now legendary Padme and Anakin format from Star wars, except that he and Bezos were introduced.

The meme poked fun at the fact that Bezos’ next Blue Origin flight will actually only be sub-orbital, meaning it will only hit the edge of space, rather than entering full orbit around the Earth.

Blue Origin will fly just above what experts call the Karman Line, an imaginary line in space 62 miles above sea level. This is what some define as the border between the earth’s atmosphere and space.

Musk clearly took a kick and responded with “haha”.

Musk also responded to a lengthy Twitter thread about his history with Bezos, joking that the Amazon CEO “can press a rhino” a reference to Bezos’ physical transformation in recent years.

This continues the friendly feud that developed between Musk and Bezos and more recently Richard Branson who also traveled to space edge last on the maiden voyage of his Virgin Galactic space plane. Ahead of the flight, which took place last Sunday, Blue Origin mocked Branson for only having “airplane-sized windows” while their New Shepard rocket will have the “biggest windows in the world. space”.

Blue Origin will take off on July 20 with Bezos himself ready to be on board with his brother Mark, Oliver Daeman, an 18-year-old physics student and 82-year-old aviator Wally Funk.
