Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, said his company is planning to develop a new creation – but this time it will not run on four wheels.
This is a leaf blower:
Musk followed this tweet with a play on words:
These statements closely follow Musk's other non-automotive viral creations, such as The Boring Company's "Pas-a-Flamethrower" flamethrower.
The 20,000 Musk flamethrowers sold were essentially roof torches enclosed in an air rifle. They were valued at $ 500. They sold in five days.
Musk later described this machine as a "terrible idea".
"You should not buy one," Musk said in the September "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast. "I said do not buy this flamethrower.Do not buy.Do not buy, that's what I said. But nevertheless, the people have bought it.I could not do anything to stop them.I could not stop them.I said do not buy it, it's a bad idea.â €
"It's dangerous, it's wrong, do not buy it," he added. "Yet people bought it, I just could not stop it."
Like the flamethrower, electric leaf blowers already exist. And judging by the videos, they still emit a lot of sound.
Business Insider has contacted Tesla for feedback on the electric leaf blowers proposed by Musk.
