Eminem apparently hit back during a TikTok campaign trying to cancel him for “ problematic ” lyrics in one of his old songs.
The American rapper, 48, was all the rage on the The popular social media app after a series of videos highlighted a controversial line from her 2010 song Love The Way You Lie with Rihanna.
In the song, Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers – raps, ‘I know I’m a liar, if she ever tries to leave again I’m going to tie her to the bed and turn this house on fire.’

TikTok users suggested the lyrics “glorify domestic violence” and called the song “problematic.”
One video said ‘Yeah let’s cancel it’ while another wrote ‘No wonder I’m toxic I grew up listening to this song. ”

He shared a snippet of the track on his Twitter, in which he appears to directly address the scandal with lyrics that read: ‘I don’t understand a word you say I’m deaf. I think that’s how I prefer to stay, I’m deaf.

The Love The Way You Lie video, directed by Joseph Kahn, sees Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan playing a couple going through an abusive relationship.
Upon the song’s release in 2010, Terry O’Neill, president of the National Organization for Women, said Rihanna was unwittingly glorifying domestic violence.
“She’s telling the story, and she doesn’t judge her,” O’Neill said. “And so she might not be intending to glorify him, but she is.”
Marjorie Gilberg, executive director of anti-violence group Break the Cycle, agrees.
“The danger is that pop culture sets our social norms,” she told the AP.
“We don’t want the message of this song to be that this kind of relationship is okay.
“This song should therefore be seen in the context of real information from adults, such as parents and teachers.”
