Rapper Marshall Mathers, praised for his loud and poignant music under the pseudonym Eminem, went on Twitter to celebrate 11 years of sobriety on Saturday.

Over the years, Mathers has been open about his fight against addiction and talked about drug abuse by his mother.

Yet on Saturday, a celebration of the long journey was shared.

With the coin turned upward in its open palm, one can see the words inscribed "To Thine Self Self Be True" surrounding a triangle bearing the words "Unity, Service, Recovery".
