Emma Roberts shares first image of newborn son Rhodes with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund

Emma Roberts shares her new baby with the world for the first time.

The “Scream Queens” actress, 29, took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal her new bundle of joy: a baby boy, whom she and her boyfriend and colleague plays Garrett Hedlund, named Rhodes Robert Hedlund.

“Thanks 2020 for doing one thing right ☀️ Our Shining Light Rhodes Robert Hedlund,” Roberts wrote on Instagram.

Pictured, Roberts – wearing an oversized pastel orange dress which she teamed with orange open-toe sandals – cradles baby Rhodes, who is swaddled in a matching orange blanket while taking the air on a striped outdoor sofa.

Roberts was inundated with wishes after the reveal with Reese Witherspoon commenting, “Oh baby !!”, while Ashley Tisdale wrote, “Just loved it twice !!!

Roberts, 29, and Hedlund, 36, welcomed their first child together Dec. 27 in Los Angeles, TMZ reported at the time. The gossip outing also revealed the name of the couple’s son.

Hedlund was in fact able to be present for the birth amid the current coronavirus mandates which have barred many from attending such events according to TMZ.

In the months leading up to the birth, Roberts and Hedlund had tried to keep her pregnancy a secret, but it was the actress’ mother who spilled the beans Roberts was waiting for.

“It was a disaster,” Roberts told her mother, Kelly Cunningham in October, responding “Yes !!” to a fan who asked Roberts point blank if she was actually pregnant.

Another commenter went on to congratulate the family, to which Cunningham replied, “Thank you very much! Very excited.”

Roberts, who is the niece of Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts, and Hedlund started dating around March 2019.
