CLEVELAND, Ohio – Four more of Sashi Brown's 24 picks have bitten or are about to be dusted.

The second round pick of 2016, Emmanuel Ogbah, was a parade for the start of the Browns' off – season program today, in the expectation of being traded, a report said. The Browns gave up three of Brown's 24 picks in one day: fourth-round receiver 2016 Ricardo Louis, fourth-round security 2016, Derrick, and fourth-quarter defensive back Howard Wilson.

When Ogbah is officially gone, only six of Brown's 24 selections will remain in 2016 and 2017: Myles Garret, David Njoku and Larry Ogunjobi starting in 2017, and Joe Schobert, Seth DeValve and Rashard Higgins starting in 2016.

In addition to giving up the three young players on Monday, the Browns signed the following contracts: DB Juston Burris (free agent), DL Trevon Coley (exclusive rights agent), Higgins (restricted free agent) and DB Jermaine Whitehead (independent agent) free rights).

The Browns have been trying to negotiate Ogbah since last month, a source told cleveland.com, and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Monday that he had not appeared at the beginning of the program in anticipation of an upcoming exchange.

The deal against Olivier Vernon, the defensive wing of the Giants, made Ogbah even more usable, but the Browns did not find the right compensation. If they can not sell it, they could let it go, a source said. Ogbah, the Oklahoma State striker is in his last year of contract.

This was the second selection of Browns' former head of football operations, Sashi Brown, replaced by GM John Dorsey. Dorsey has now ushered in most of Brown's 24 selections, including safety Derrick Kindred and Louis, which were lifted on Monday.

Louis, the fourth-round pick in 2016 in Auburn, underwent a neckstroke last season and missed the season. In 12 games for the Browns in 2016 and 2017, Louis has 45 passes for 562 yards and no touchdowns.

As for Ogbah, Dorsey hoped the Browns could benefit more from him with the new defense coordinator, Steve Wilks, but that is not the case.

"They asked him to kick a lot and play a technique 3 as an Inner Carrier," Dorsey told the Senior Bowl. "Its most natural position is perhaps the exterior technique, we'll know more as we go to OTAs, but its most natural position is from the outside."

Ogbah has missed the last six games of the 2017 season with a broken foot, and two games early in the season with a sprained ankle that was bothering him for a good part of the season. He finished the season with three sacks and a fumble recovered.
