Game of Thrones will have one last chance to win the Emmy's glory later, as a better and brighter television, preparing the awards ceremony in the United States this year.

The fantastic epic, which reached a climax at the beginning of the year, has 14 nominations in seven categories.

They include nominations for the best drama series as well as nods in all four categories of actors.

The 32 Emmy nominations received in July by Game of Thrones are the highest total of all programs in a single year.

The show has already won 10 awards at Creative Arts Emmys last weekend, including awards for its casting, costumes, makeup and music.

The show is already the most honored series and the most nominated drama in the history of the Emmy Awards.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, meanwhile, will find out if she won another award for best comedy actress for the latest series of Veep.

The Seinfeld star already holds the record for the most Emmy awards for a single role, having won six consecutive Emmys for his interpretation of Veep's Selina Meyers between 2012 and 2017.

The British Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who is on the list of the finalists of the second series of Fleabag, is a competitor of Louis-Dreyfus.

The BBC Three show will receive four other awards on Sunday, including a series of outstanding comedies and the best actress in a comedy.

Other stars in the UK include Hugh Grant, who is nominated for Best Actor in a limited series or a film for A Very English Scandal.

The Sunday event – to be held at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles – will only be the fourth ever Emmy ceremony.

More than 25,000 members of the TV Academy voted for the awards, which were first presented in 1949.

The Emmy name comes from an old television camera called an orthicon camera tube, dubbed the Immy.
